About Me
I started my marketing career as the circulation manager for CAD/CAM Publishing, a publisher of high-tech newsletters.
I took the direct mail classes from the San Diego Direct Marketing Association and used what I learned serving in various non-profit organizations.
I also founded my own non-profits in 1993 and 2005. By then Direct Mail was expensive and positive results less certain.
Every company and organization needs a website, but how do you bring more traffic and build relationships with your customers and prospects?
Email marketing is a key ingredient. I’ve been successfully using email marketing since 2005.
Email is surprisingly affordable, and because it is so focused no company or organization should be without a consistent email marketing campaign.

Rich HTML emails such as this are a great way to get the word out. |
Over the past several years a number of email marketing companies have unveiled products that make it easier than ever to create professional email campaigns and see the results.
You get great reports and can see who opened your email and who visited your links. Feed back is pretty quick.
But what if you’re not the expert? What if you don’t want to put in the time to learn how to use the software, open rates, subject lines, graphics etc?
HTML emails are not like websites. A lot of the features that work on the web won't work in an email - or work differently. You need to know what will work and what won't work or your email campaign will make you look unprofessional.
Leave it to EmailGuru.biz – we’ve made it our business to understand the trends, technology and strategy of email marketing.
We know how to build your opt-in email list or purchase a list from a qualified list broker. We have the experience to write your email, place and optimize graphics, how to deal with spam complaints.
Even with the smallest budgets, email marketing is surprisingly affordable, easy to get started and you can see results pretty quickly.
What Works On a Website Might Not Work in an HTML email:
Email applications want to deliver old fashioned text emails. We want to send our clients rich, colorful emails that scream "read me." It is a battle and you have to know how far you can push your limits.
Images: Many if not most email service applications prompt the reader to right click to allow images. If your email is mostly images the initial impression is not going to be favorable. Plus spam filters look for a text to image ratio.
CSS: Cascading Style Sheets are used in websites to format text and images. They have limited use in HTML emails and you will lose the hover effects.
Flash: will liven up a website, but you'll get a big nothing if you use it in an email. And yet, some email companies have an "insert flash" option.
Javascript: which allows certain things to happen on a website don't work on emails. For example, if you wanted to include a poll on your email, the javascript required would not work. You have to link to a website.
Background Images: You may or may not be able to include a background image in an email. Therefore we do not use them.
